African Inspired Shoes

I was not a huge kitenge fun in the past but lately i find myself addicted to the kitenge fabric or just call it ankara as widely known across west africa. It is amazing how the african inspired fabric continues to  be used world wide, its like every designer want to have a piece of his or her work have a touch of the ankara fabric. From time when the ankara was mainly used for making women dresses its astonishing how men too have embraced the culture of wearing the kitenge. The fabric has many uses among them;making bow ties, scurfs, blazers, skirts, hot pants, caps just to mention but a few.As i was gambling for images of the kitenge fabric on Google i came across ohemaohene footwear and i must admit their elegant shoes decorated with the ankara fabric swept me off my feet literally. One good thing about them they can ship them for you regardless of your location,so if you are African inspired why don't you surprise yourself by rocking this beautiful shoes.

Ankara Used On Clutches

I found this beautiful pictures of ankara clutch bags from Ayya Morrison's Clutches and i could not hesitate to share them. This ankara clutches are one of the cutest ways to showcase the versatility of Ankara. Here the ankara has been used in form of clutches that are nothing but chic, elegant and stylish. The colours are vibrant and so on point they will rock any outfit. Ankara/Kitenge Fabric

The Ankara fabric or the kitenge as known here across east Africa is known to symbolize African fashion, thus, when used by a non-Africa fashion brand, the design is labelled ‘African-inspired’.
A lot about the fabric evokes Africa; the vibrant print is reflective of our bold and sometimes, exuberant culture and lifestyle and the texture which is suitable for a majority of African climates.

Here is a sneak view from zenmagazineafrica of how the ankara fabric can be used on a dress or a handbag
